Citizenship Day 12

After reciting the Rotary Four Way Test, have students participate in the following exercise that focuses on the social skills relating to Citizenship.

No Rules!

Directions:

For 10 minutes, allow the students to do whatever they want because none of the class rules apply.  The only stipulations is that they are not allowed to touch each other and they cannot break stuff.  After the 10 minutes, get everyone together in a circle and talk about the experience.  Here are some sample questions to get you started:

1. Did having no rules seem fun?  Why?

2. What would happen if the no rules idea was everywhere?

3. Why are rules important to school?  Home? Community?
