Code Puzzle



Purpose:

This activity will challenge the student to use his/her problem solving skills to solve a “Cryptogram Puzzle” related to the virtue of citizenship.


Activity:

Pass out a copy of The Code puzzle sheet (click the shield for the worksheet). Go over the directions with your class and allow them plenty of time to break the code and solve the cryptogram.


Then ask the following questions:

What does the quote say?

What does this quote mean?

Why do you think Mr. Roosevelt said this?





After reciting the Rotary Four Way Test, please print out the student portion of the puzzle.
